Class descriptions

 Illinois Conceal Carry Class:

THIS IS NOT A BEGINNERS CLASS

• At least 21 years of age  
• Possess a valid Illinois Firearm Owner Identification Card (Illinois Residents).  
• Possess a valid State ID or Driver's License.  
• Must not be prohibited by State or Federal Law from legally possessing a firearm.  
• Physically capable of safely and effectively operating a firearm.
• Provide a concealable handgun and compatible holster (optional, if you do not have one we can provide one).​

• Illinois Conceal Carry Renewal Class:
• This class is required to renew your Illinois Conceal Carry Permit. You must attend the class and re-qualify on the range.

• Utah/Florida/Arizona non-resident permit classes by appointment or in combination with Illinois Conceal Carry Classes.

This is classroom class designed to help civilians prevent a home invasion or survive a home invasion if preventative measures are not successful.

Personal Protection In The Home

Personal Protection Outside The Home Carrying a firearm means more than just putting on a holster. This course provides insight into psychological and physiological effects of a deadly force confrontation. Also discussed is ways to avoid these situations.

Range Safety Officer

Become a certified Range Safety Officer. Many shooting activities require a Range Safety Officer present.

 First Shots- An Introduction to Shooting 
This is a very basic course designed to give a brief overview of firearms. Topics discussed are firearm safety, revolvers, semi-automatics, ammunition, range commands and protocol. Perfect course for students who may have a fear of firearms or who are not comfortable around firearms. Classroom, range, use of a .22 caliber handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition are provided.

Intermediate Handgun

You have taken the Introduction , now take your skills to the next level. This class takes over where the introduction course left off. You have some time to practice on your own now make sure your practice is being done correctly. Improve your skills with specific instruction for your needs. Remember practice does not make perfect. Perfect Practice Makes Perfect.

Defensive Pistol #1

A leading cause if firearm mishaps are due to drawing from and re-holstering a firearm. Learn the proper method with the holster you will be using.

​Ladies Only Class
​This course is identical to the "Introduction to Handguns" course but for ladies only.

Ladies Only Custom

Design a course specifically for your individual needs. We will listen yo your goals and design a training course just for you.

Youth Introduction to Handguns

Ages 10 - 16

Students learn basic firearm safety and terminology. Sight alignment, sight picture, stance, breath control and grip. Use of a  range, .22 caliber handgun and 50 rounds of ammunition are provided. Safety course ID card provided after successful completion of the course. Parent must be present during class and range time.

Advanced Youth Handgun Class

 This class is scheduled by appointment and works with students on range skills. There is a review of safe firearm handling in the classroom and then we proceed to the range. We will try to determine eye dominance and work on the standard shooting basics. This class is approximately 1 hours and has more range time than the first youth knowledge class. 

Project Safe Child

 Project Safe Child is a one-hour course for both parents/guardians and their children. This class will not only bring this important conversation to the table, but give every household simple and practical tools in keeping children safe.

Defensive Pistol #1

Learn how to draw from a holster safely. Shoot live ammunition on the range after drawing from a holster. This is a slow paced class for students with little to no holster training and a prerequisite to other Defensive Pistol Classes.

Defensive Pistol #3

- Discuss and demonstrate importance of movement and use of cover - Classroom

 - Discuss and demonstrate linear, lateral, angular, and explosive movement - Classroom

 - Discuss and demonstrate 3 shooting positions based on proximity and movement in relation to threat (Hip/Compressed/Extended) - Classroom

 - Multiple movement techniques while shooting - Range/Live Fire

 - Use of 3 shooting positions with movement - Range/Live Fire

Defensive Pistol #4

Topics Covered 

 - Discuss and demonstrate shooting single hand shooting - both strong and support hand - Classroom

 - Discuss and demonstrate concepts and use of cover - Classroom

 - Strong and support hand shooting - Range/Live Fire

 - Shooting from behind cover - Range/Live Fire

 Defensive Pistol #5 

Topics Covered 

 - Discuss and demonstrate addressing multiple threat defense - Classroom

 - Discuss and demonstrate shooting at an advancing threat - Classroom
 - Discuss and demonstrate shooting from a seated position (desk, vehicle, etc.) - Classroom
 - Situational shooting making use of movement, cover, and reloads - Range/Live Fire
 - Shooting while seated in a mock vehicle - Range/Live Fire
 - Shooting at an advancing threat - Range/Live Fire

Defensive Pistol #6

 This is a range course that would be open to all students who’ve completed Defensive Pistol 1-5, no exceptions.
Defensive Pistol 6 focuses on defensive shooting drills, while tying in reloads, stoppages/failures, and movement. 

Must have completed Defensive Pistol #1, Defensive Pistol #2, Defensive Pistol #3 and Defensive Pistol #4.
